Yeah Boy! The Kooks are releasing a new album, Konk, on April 15th. If you’re not already a fan, run out and get their debut, Inside In/Inside Out. They’re a terrific band, my favorite new music by far in recent years. While they’re super young you can hear the influences of the Police, the Beatles, and the Clash, just to name a few. I was lucky enough to see them in Nov. ’06, at a secret show they played at Safari Sam’s; while it’s rare, they were as good in person, if not better, than their recordings.
And now they’re back (from outer space) to tour North America.

Pre-sale started this morning. I guessed the new album title as the code and was correct. See you at the Wiltern!
PS Happy leap day. Do something odd and leap-ey, it only comes around every four years.
