Being in NYC always makes me nostalgic for Carvel cakes of yore… Here’s a little holiday spirit from the late 80′s.
Hope everyone is weathering the holiday whirl. I got home late last night. Brought Cali warmth with me (55 degrees when I landed), but the temps have fallen over night (45 now) and will continue to fall all week. Hey, maybe I’ll get a white Christmas.
For those of you who are less than pleased at the prospect of family and home, I submit the Awkward Family Photos 12 days of Xmas. I’m sure you know this site by now, but I’d like to remind you how funny they are! Here’s my favorite Awkward Xmas moment thus far this year:

Holy cow, where’d this year go? I leave for NYC tomorrow!! So little to do, so much time to do it in; wait a minute, strike that, reverse it…
Been stitching like mad all day, working on pieces for the show in the spring. Lots done already, but was hoping to finish some canvases before I leave (I’m not, but I’m close). Today has been a whirl of making to take, finishing up, putting aside for after the break, etc etc etc.
