As long as I’m living the life of leasure – not waiting tables (woo hoo!) – I’m taking a bunch of classes over the next few weeks. Some cooking (because no one ever taught me), a tomato growing class, and a book binding class (woo hoo again!).  I took the first of the cooking classes this weekend; it was a baking class.  While I do know how to bake, I hadn’t made these things before, and it was fun, if fattening.

We made a macadamia tart.

Carrot cake mini muffins.

And black bottom cup cakes that I was too busy eating to photograph.

Did you know that carrot cake has pineapple in it? I didn’t, but it’s good.
