What a wonderful opening Saturday was! Many thanks to all who came out and to those who purchased works!! And to that end, I want to make sure everybody knows about our online store! All the works – that haven’t already been snatched up – are available online, for purchase, in Twilight Gallery’s STORE! So grab yourself a Dime Bag Daryl Doll,

So much good going on, and so crazy busy, and along with that comes change – which is terrifying and unknown and means more work – but it’s amazing and fantastic! So, I’ve closed my Etsy shop. I will be opening a Big Cartel Shop in the next month or so. Perhaps I should have left the Etsy up while I build the new one (I think now, typing), but, I didn’t, so… I think it will be a better fit in the end.

But have no fear, don’t wring your hands,

works will be available again in a “store” setting soon. And if you see something you like in the meantime (on Instagrams, Turmblr, Ficebook, or Tweeter), just let me know and we can work it out.

I think every day should be romantic, not just one day that the calendar says, but if you are going to send that special someone a Valentine, or even if it’s someone you just want to get with, why not surprise them with a Braillentine? Available in my shop!

So excited to be included in the forthcoming, “Gallery1988’s Crazy4Cult: Cult Movie Art 2.” The book is officially available October 15th, just in time for this year’s show, but you can pre-order now, or, if you’re in LA, early copies are already available at the gallery.  Here’s a sneak peak!!

Hope to see you mid-October for the opening of this year’s show, Crazy4Cult: Say Hi to the Bad Guy.

Like Billy Joel said, “I’m movin’ out…” of the Hive (he didn’t say that part). It’s a joyous thing, I’ve been there eight months, met wonderful people, made some great sales, and I’m going to continue showing there – and am very much looking forward to curating Stitch Fetish 2: Electric Boogaloo – but I’d like to go make a whole bunch of new stuff and I’ve got a bunch of shows coming up that I need to prep for (more on that to come), so this is a great decision.  And hey, you never know when I may move back in!

To celebrate (and so I don’t have to schlepp it all home) I’m having a moving sale!  If you come down to the opening tomorrow night, 7/6, or to artwalk on thursday 7/11, everything is 10% off!  And if you’re not in LA, but have been coveting something, the sale is available online all month. Just type in RESIDENCE in the checkout coupon area thingie.

And, oh, don’t forget, I’m teaching Sunday (click on embroidery on the left to register for class!), because last week got pushed due to filming in the space – how Hollywood! So, come get your stitch on!

School is in session! I made eight School House Cock, “flash cards,” (flesh cards?) that are now in my Etsy shop, and will be down at the Hive starting tomorrow.

Etsy, makes you use a “safe” preview picture; this is what my shop page looks like right now:

I love that it actually looks potentially educational!

Amongst all the other stuff, Artwalk tomorrow (come by the Hive!!), making for another 1988 show, and I’ve started a major project (more on that as it unfolds), I’m still making my ladies!  Here’s Brenda, Adele, Audrey, and Suzy!

That’s right, it’s finally upon us, the opening night of Stitch Fetish!!!  It looks great!!  Here’s a peak at the entrance to the show:

In prep for the show, last week I did an episode of my pal Todd’s videocast, Film Pigs! Which I can’t seem to embed and I have too much to do to argue with WordPress right now, so you can watch that HERE. I have to say, it made me laugh.

And, if I didn’t have enough going on, my super talented new space mate at the Hive, Sarah Ockuly, and I re-did our space, repainted, blah blah blah. I think it looks great! Much prefer this to the previous gray walls.

Okay, off to run errands and such and hope to see you all this evening!

You all know I’ve been installing away (hope to see you tomorrow night, if you’re in the LA area), but did you know I’m still stitching away on other things? Well I am! Made some new doilies in the series, Annie and Maryanne; also made Betsy and Tacy, but they’re not rinsed and pressed yet. I’ll post those girls later.

Here’s a preview of my works for “Stitch Fetish“, though they may be a bit hard to see; it’s very hard to photograph white on white and get the camera to read it.  I’ve made a trio of pieces, “Off White Work: Untitled Oral 1-3;” they’re 8×10 framed.

Hope to see you at the Show!

It’s the least fun part of being an artist, but if I don’t do it, who will?  After much whining and procrastinating and mostly making stuff rather than stopping to do photo and computer stuff, I’ve finally gotten doilies in the store! I still have lots of other online, computery stuff to do, but let’s focus on the good and what’s done, shall we? There’s doilies in the store!

So now, if you’re in LA, you can come by the Hive, and see what’s on the wall, but if you’re not, you can go over to my Etsy shop and get some dirty doily in your life.  Of the 99 planned, there’s 19 posted now; have at ’em!!

And speaking of sales, have you had a chance to go check out Sparkle Light and Sparkle Dark, my newest venture on Etsy?  My girl T and I have started a vintage store, and there’s lots of new (well, old, but new in stock) merch being listed almost daily.

Right now there’s a lot of beautiful children’s clothes, as well as other random stuff.  Here’s a sampling:
