Is everybody watching Gossip Girl? It’s like 90210 with sex, drugs, and booze. So much guilty pleasure, not the least of which is finding so much joy in a “teen” show. The scenes from next week mention a character coming out. My vote is Chuck Bass, with those outfits. Last episode they had him in a bright orange/fuschia trench coat. How many straight teens would rock that? And have you noticed his hair? And check the madras belt.

I watched 90210 into college and beyond and still love it ‘cuz everyone was 35.
Seems relatively innocent now. The Paris Hilton-era kids horrify me. Eh? Sonny?!!

I was totally rooting for it to be Chuck too! But not so much because of the clothes, but because he was the character that went gay in the book series. Love the show, but they haven’t even made an ATTEMPT to stay true to the books (case in point: Book Vanessa is a punk rock, hardcore filmmaker who has a shaved head and always wears black – NOT an ethnically ambiguous hipster who seems to have no other purpose in life than to be the “mature” one…)
