I am!! That’s right! Who’s house?? Run’s house!
Sorry, I get a bit excited.
So the deal is… my work is now available at Co-op28 on Vermont in Los Feliz, right here in Los Angeles! Woot! There’s some pillows:
and some cards:
and I’m sure more artsy-craftsy silliness will ensue and join them.
I took these shots yesterday when I dropped off, but will go back later in the week when it’s a bit more set up and take more, wonderfuler shots.
I’m very excited to be working with Co-op28, it’s a terrific business that champions handmade goods; woo hoo! They also have a small, but well chosen, selection of well priced vintage goods and clothes (I gots a fab new hat!).
More news to come in the next couple weeks… happenings at the Hive, sprucing up the online store, not to mention the website…. lots of goodness.
Have a super happy Thanksgiving everybody; Japanese turkeys say gobbu gobbu.
Almost ready to roll out an actual line of pillows! Having a photo shoot later this week, putting together a line sheet, will reload the store… Full steam ahead!
Finished up the final pillow in the line this morning – was waiting on a pillow shipment with rectangles. It’s the first of my Postcard Pillows; this one is tropical.
In the store soon!
When I haven’t been gazing covetously at art made by others, I’ve been busy busy over here embroidering, sewing, plotting, planning; all the steps that will lead to Schindermania world domination.
Here’s two rebus pillows I made. Each is available in a limited run of 50. I’ll list them in my store very soon (I swear, it’s on the list).
One of the things I’ve been working on is a series of pillows for Serendipity3 in NYC. They’re done and going in the mail tomorrow; should be on sale by the end of next week!! Woot!
Gallery1988, who I’ve worked with in LA before has invited me to participate in a show at the SF gallery, Crazy4Cult: Customs.
Like prior Cult shows in LA, all the work is based on cult films, but for the Customs show it’s all plush, 3D, and sculptural works. I’ve made a Heathers Suicide Pillow Triptych.
The show will be up from Saturday Sept 4th until Sept 24th – the pieces I’ve seen so far are awesome, it’s worth a visit – but if you’re in SF for the opening, stop by and say hello!
